PPU M855 Mil-Spec 5.56NATO 62 GRAIN FMJ boat tail, geen tip, rifle ammunition is used by militaries around the world and available to you. This m855 green tip ammunition uses a boat tail shaped projectile with a lead core and a steel “penetrator” tip encased in a copper jacket. While not considered “armor piercing” this design offers improved penetration over non steel tipped bullets of the same size and configuration. The boat tail shape of the M855 bullet delivers improved aerodynamic qualities for improved accuracy at longer ranges. PPU M855 Mil-Spec ammunition is not recommended for indoor ranges.
