The Bul Cherokee Compact is a polymer framed, hammer fired double/single action 9mm pistol based on the CZ 75 and produced by Israeli arms manufacturer Bul Armory. This design incorporates a CZ style low profile slide with frame rails that fit over the slide providing a low bore axis and less reciprocal slide weight. Three grooves along the top of the frame cut down on glare and aid in fast target acquisition. The double/single action trigger provides a long heavy pull to reduce the chance of accidental discharge while the short crisp single action mode allows for increased control and accuracy. An internal firing pin block safety mechanism keeps this firearm drop safe while an external thumb safety provides manual control to lock the trigger. The Cherokee can be carried as conventional double-action pistol with the hammer at rest, or as a cocked-and-locked single-action gun like the 1911. This compact, tough, and reliable self-defense pistol features a 17+1 capacity with a 3.66” forged 34NiCrMo6 steel barrel incorporating six-groove, 1:10 right-hand twist rifling, large polished feed ramps for reliability, forged steel slide, and bright three dot sights. The light weight Bul Cherokee Compact incorporates a full-sized grip frame with aggressive texturing, deep undercuts, a beavertail, and an accessory rail for lights and lasers.
