Introducing the all new Smith & Wesson M&P Shield. Just recently released, this is Smith & Wesson’s newest carry firearm. Derived from the popular double stack M&P series of pistols, the Shield is a single stack gun, designed for carry. Forged from the popular features of the original M&P series pistols such as a simple takedown lever, flat profile slide stop, stainless steel sights, and textured back strap; the new M&P Shield is a perfect gun designed for carry, but also large enough to shoot comfortably.

The Shield, chambered in 9mm or .40 S&W is a slim, concealable and lightweight pistol. Still using the M&P striker fire system, one of the new features the Shield has is a flush cut thumb-safety to aid with concealment. The frame of the Shield is just less than 1” in diameter, and weighs only 19oz unloaded. The Shield also comes with 2 magazines, one flush fit and one extended magazine that increase capacity by an extra round. Unlike the large frame M&P pistols, the shield does not have interchangeable back straps, however they are definitely not needed. The size of the Shield is just right, not to small, and not too large. It fits perfectly in the hand.

New Smith & Wesson/Magpul Rifle

Smith & Wesson and Magpul teamed up and released the Model M&P15 MOE Mid Magpul Spec Series rifle. This rifle seems to be the all-in-one package. There have been a lot of interesting things getting released at SHOT Show this year, and this is one of them. Soon to be available in black, and flat dark earth; we can’t wait to get our hands on one of these. This is the second rifle Smith & Wesson premiered at SHOT this year and everything so far looks very promising. Along with the very popular Magpul MOE furniture, this Smith/Magpul Spec Series rifle now includes: a Magpul 7075 T6 Aluminum Lower Receiver, a 1/8″ twist allowing for better accuracy on heavier grain projectiles and amongst other highlights, a chromed bolt carrier and key. Also included in the package is The Art of Tactical Carbine Volume I & II DVDs from Magpul. They should be available soon, and we can’t wait to get them in!

Ruger Introduces New SR22 Pistol

Ruger has just released the all-new SR22 pistol, which is chambered in .22LR. The SR22 was designed as an out of the box, do-it-all reliable plinker and target shooter. This single/double action pistol features a black anodized aero-grade aluminum slide with cocking serrations on both the front and rear,as well as a stainless steel barrel. Featuring an external skeletonized hammer, the SR22 also features an ambidextrous manual safety/decocking lever and magazine release. Coming with a fixed front sight and adjustable rear for both windage and elevation, it also features a polymer frame with interchangeable grips and a picatinny rail for mountain most popular accessories. It is easy to field-strip, fun to shoot and will accept a large selection of ammunition.

The Ruger SR-22 comes with two 10-round magazines (both come with standard flush floor plates, as well as pinky extensions). As well as two different comfort grips, zipper Ruger pouch, lock, instruction manual and fired shell casing. We currently have them in stock for $329!

As some of you may have noticed, our website has had a rather dramatic makeover. In an effort to constantly improve for our customers we have introduced this new website. Also in more big news, if you haven’t heard… We are moving to a bigger location! Our new store will be located at 1050 S. Nova Road in Holly Hill. The building (previously Carl’s Speed Shop) is almost four times LARGER then our current store, AND we will be able to accommodate 100 vehicles in our parking lot!

We have a lot of big changes coming up, and there will be more and more new features added to the new website on a daily basis. We just ask that you bear with us, as there is some debugging to do on here, and everything will be running perfectly here soon.
